Basic Policy

The Shusui Museum of Art (hereafter “the Museum”) is deeply cognizant of the significant social obligation to properly protect and manage the names, addresses, e-mail address, telephone numbers, and other information provided by users that could be used to identify individuals (hereafter “personal information”), and has set out this privacy policy with the goal of effective use and improvement of this personal information handling system.

Compliance with Laws and Ordinances Related to Personal Information

The Museum complies with applicable laws and ordinances related to personal information, as well as internal regulations put in place by the Museum.

Proper Handling of Personal Information

The Museum may ask users to provide personal information through certain Museum website content (such as mail order of illustrated catalogs or inquiries). In that event, the purpose for which the Museum receives this personal information will be clearly stated beforehand, and personal information will be collected only to the proper extent, with user consent.

Use of Personal Information

The Museum uses personal information for the purpose indicated when collecting said personal information, and to the extent necessary for performing the business of the Museum. In the event that handling of personal information is entrusted to a third party, the Museum will first establish a contract with said third party, stating that the third party is to maintain strict confidentiality. Responsibility for liability therefor shall be clearly established, and the Museum will provide supervision as necessary and appropriate to ensure safe management of personal information.

Management of Personal Information

The Museum takes thorough measures to ensure safe management of personal information, to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, tampering, leaks, etc. The handling of personal information is only entrusted to a contractor as part of the business of the Museum after the establishment of a confidentiality agreement, and the Museum assumes responsibility for supervising said contractor.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

As a general rule, the Museum will never provide personal information to third parties, with the following exceptions:

●When stipulated by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and ordinances

Inquiries Regarding Personal Information
(Correction, Disclosure, or Deletion)

In the event that a user requests the disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of that user’s personal information, the Museum will promptly fulfill the request. To make such a request, please contact the Museum as shown below.

Establishment, Enforcement, and Improvement of Regulations Related to the Protection of Personal Information
